Yapik is a free location-based app where college students can buy and sell anything they need right on campus. Your college peers will see the items you posted and contact you right from Yapik. You decide where on campus you want to meet and done! The best part is that Yapik is ONLY for college students so you know you can trust everyone on it.

Nothing! Yapik is absolutely FREE to download and to use.

You can post any item or service on Yapik. Used college books, your smart phone that you want to get rid of before buying a new one, event tickets, even if you provide services like tutoring or babysitting, you can post it all on Yapik absolutely free. It is also easy to find what you are looking for on Yapik. You can post things that you want and your peers will contact you if they have it.

There are two ways of posting an item on Yapik, you can either click on the “Add” button from your profile or from the Feed screen. If your item has a barcode, you can scan it and Yapik will automatically fill in the info for you. It is fast, easy, and fun!

You can easily contact anyone that is signed up to Yapik through the Messages tab. Simply click on the + sign and search for your peers by name or username. If you find someone you want to talk to about an item, you simply click on the Message tab from their profile or from their item’s page. There are many ways to send messages and they are all fast and easy!

We encourage our users to share Yapik as much as possible, it will only benefit you and your peers. The more users are on Yapik, the more items and services there will be. It’s a win-win situation and it is all free! You can share the Yapik app via Facebook and Twitter from your profile screen by clicking on the Share tab. Also, whenever you post an item or service, Yapik will automatically ask you if you want to share it on Facebook and Twitter. It is very easy! Thanks for sharing :)

Yapik was created by two college graduates from UM and USF. It first launched in September of 2011 in FIU, UM, and USF and it’s now available nationwide. Yapik is also run by college graduates and college representatives. There are many more cool updates on the way that will help you with your college career, so stay tuned!
